I miss the days of real feel good R&B music. Not many R&B singers these days just outright serenade anymore except for maybe Neyo and Maxwell. They sing about sex or try to be R&B hip hop thugs. Aint nothing wrong with under the sheets music but there’s just not many current R&B songs that you can play at a wedding or slow dance to anymore.

I remember this song came out during the summer of I think 93 or 94. I was about 8 or 9. During those days in the summer I would always stay inside and watch MTV Jamz with Bill Bellamy at 11am.  After MTV Jamz was done I would go outside and play with my neighborhood friends. MTV Jamz was my favorite more so than Yo MTV Raps. I didn’t know when the hell Yo MTV Raps came on anyways. Yo MTV Raps wasn’t a daily show like Jaz, I remember it came on sometimes like latenight on the weekends. MTV Jamz was a 50/50 mix of R&B and hip hop. I grew up to love music during those days of summer watching MTV and sometimes BET.  It’s so sad MTV is no longer “Music” Television.
